Vincent grew up in Melbourne, where his childhood was marred by learning difficulties, leading him to drop out of school. He managed to enroll at RMIT University under false pretenses, and it is here that he was finally diagnosed with dyslexia. Despite these challenges, Vincent graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, completing his Masters of Fine Arts.
Vincent is also known for his paintings of famous Australian faces. The likes of which include Heath Ledger, Hugh Jackman, Aboriginal Australian human rights and social justice campaigner, Professor Tom Calma AO FAA FASSA, chef Matt Moran, former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, actor and Vincent’s wife, Asher Keddie.
Throughout his career Vincent has worked extensively overseas. In 2009 he produced 30 portraits in 30 days in Hong Kong and went on to repeat this project in New York in 2011 and in Australia in 2012, where he painted inspirational Australians. These portraits were later displayed at National Gallery of Victoria.
In addition to his work as an artist, Vincent is an Adjunct Professor at RMIT and is a brand ambassador for Audi, Laurent Perrier and Capitol Grand. He often collaborates with film makers and other creative people on their projects.
